“Dancers are instruments, like a piano the choreographer plays.”
Nathan is a director, choreographer, creative producer, and arts educator committed to creating theatrical experiences that explore human connection, identity, and community. Nathan’s relationship with theatre began at four years old when he experienced his first production from the audience and discovered the magic of the stage. After performing in his first production of I Never Saw Another Butterfly, he developed a lifelong passion for storytelling and never stopped creating.
As a young artist, Nathan learned that if opportunities did not exist, he could create them. He co-founded Community Entertainment, producing and directing theatrical experiences with fellow artists and developing his skills as a director, choreographer, and collaborator. Nathan continued his artistic journey in New York City, where he worked with organizations including the York Theatre Company and assisted on productions such as Roadside, Silk Stockings, and Radiant Baby: The Story of Keith Haring. His time in New York shaped his understanding of theatre as a gathering place where diverse communities and perspectives can come together.
In 2016, Nathan founded NCo Creations, an arts organization dedicated to developing original theatrical experiences, dance films, educational programming, and community-centered performance. His creative and producing work also includes Playing Pretend Theatrics, furthering his commitment to creating spaces where artists can collaborate, experiment, and build meaningful live experiences. His original works include Here We Go Again, SKIN, and Boy Bye.
Nathan currently serves as a Performing Arts Director and theatre educator, creating opportunities for young artists to explore storytelling, movement, and creative expression. Through his directing practice and educational work, Nathan continues to build spaces where artists and audiences can connect, imagine, and discover the power of creation.
